BIOGRAPHY
Charito is a poet, songwriter, recording artist and a pediatric dentist. Her name is Rosario de Fatima Martinez VAlenzuela who was born in Managua Nicaragua. She has been writing poetry and music accompanying herself on guitar since she was a teenager and has approximately 500 songs and many more poems. Her poems are inspired by her own life, real feelings, challenges, grief’s, failures and moments that broke her heart relating to people that have experienced pain. All of them are her life and her songs are about love, love to God, family, friends, her country, experiences and journeys. Some are tales with mystical interpretation. She even makes up songs so soothe the children in the dental chair.
Rosario lived the last of her teenage years in Esteli, a northern city of Nicaragua. They moved there due to her father’s work and the great earthquake in 1972. Her family is still there. Around 1970 the Sandinista revolution got stronger and took its first steps in the process of abolishing the corrupt dictator named Somoza. This completely affected her life and the course of the Nicaraguan population. This avoided her to continue studying at the University Autonym of Leon and forced her to immigrate to Guatemala. In 1975 she studied dentistry at the University of San Carlos de Borromeo and graduated in 1986.
She came the USA in 1988 and got the license to practice dentistry in California. She has her own private practice in Menlo Park California.
Her first album Caracol was produced and recorded at O’Neal Productions-Tiki Studios with co-producer/arranger Jeannine O’Neal and engineer Gradie O’Neal. Around that time she was very ill and thought she couldn’t reach her dream of recording her songs. Rosario writes “God opens doors and windows to our dreams when we chase them vehemently, they come true” and such is the case with her first album “Caracol and her music and her life. She is currently working on her second album to be released very soon.
The message of her music is pure love, the expression of her heart that relates with others. She is a voice that sings the same feelings that others might feel, which is the essential meaning of poetry and music.
The intention of her CD’s are to create funds for a humanitarian cause: to help the children with dental needs and no dental insurance or very low income in her area of work in Menlo Park and E. Palo Alto, California. Her dream is to co-fund a nonprofit organization to help children in need.

Charito es una poetiza,compositora de canciones, artista que graba discos compactos y una odóntologa que se especializa en pediatría y odontología familiar.Ha escrito poesía y música acompañada por su guitarra desde que era una adolescente, y ha escrito aproximadamente 500 canciones y muchos más poemas.
La inspiración de su poesía es, su propia vida, sus sentimientos, sus retos, sus penas,sus fracasos, momentos que rompieron su corazón y se plasmaron en una canción, sus canciones son páginas de su vida, emociones reales que son identificados por personas que han experimentado dolor en su vida. Escribe canciones de amor, de amor a Dios, a sui famila, a sus amigos, sobre su país, sus experiencias, su trayecto, algunas son fábulas con interpretaciones místicas y escribe canciones a los niños cuando estan bajo su tutela professional.
Rosario vivió los últimos años de su adolescencia en Estelí, ciudad norteña de Nicaragua. Ellos se movieron allí por el trabajo de su padre y se quedaron por el terremoto del año 1972. Su familia todavia vive allí. Alrededor de los años de 1970 la revolución Sandinista se hizo fuerte y tomaron los primeros pasos en el proceso de abolir la corrupta dictadura de Somoza. Impidiéndole terminar sus estudios universitarios en la Universidad Autónoma de León. Emigró a la Universidad de San Carlos de Guatemala en 1975, donde se graduó de Odontóloga, años después, en 1986.
Vino a los Estados Unidos en 1988, logró incorporarse de odontóloga an California en el año 1998. Ella tiene su propia práctica dental en Menlo Park California.
Su primer álbum de canciones “Caracol” fue producido y grabado en O’Neal Productions-Tiki Studios,con su co-productora y arreglista Jeannine O’Neal y el ingeniero Gradie O’Neal. En ese tiempo,ella estaba sumamente enferma y pensó que jamás alcanzaría su sueño de grabar sus canciones. Rosario dice: “Dios abre puertas y ventanas a nuestros sueños, cuando los perseguimos y deseamos vehementemente, ellos se hacen realidad”, así fue el caso de este primer álbum “Caracol” de su música y su vida. Ella esta trabajanddo en su segundo álbum que saldrá pronto a la luz.
El mensaje de su música es puro amor, la expresión de su Corazón que se identifica con otros. Ella es la voz que canta los mismo sentimientos que otros pueden sentir ,que es el significado esencial de la música y de la poesía.
La intención de sus discos compactos (CD’s) son para crear fondos para una causa humanitaria: ayudar a los niños con necesidades dentales que no tienen cobertura o aseguranza dental, de muy bajos ingresos económicos, en su área de trabajo Menlo Park y Palo Alto este. Su sueño es co-fundar una organización no lucrativa para ayudar a los niños en necesidad.
